Labiaplasty:
This is a procedure that reduces or
reshapes the labia minora. Some women
have large labia minora that can cause
pain during intercourse, discomfort during
exercising or when wearing tight fitting
pants such as jeans or shorts. This condition
can be from congenital conditions, enlargement
from excessive weight gain and then loss,
swelling from surgery or injury during
childbirth.
Labiaplasty can also enhance sexual experience
by reducing large labia that can cover
the clitoris. Some women may choose labiaplasty
for psychological reasons due to embarrassment
with a sexual partner because their labia
are either too large or asymmetrical.
